Small Wins Add Up

When you’re staring down a massive goal like losing 100 pounds, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. The key to staying motivated is setting realistic, smaller goals that you can achieve along the way. These small wins are what will keep you going when the scale isn’t moving as fast as you’d like.

For me, the first goal was simple: drink more water. It might not seem like much, but I knew that staying hydrated would help with my energy levels and make it easier to avoid snacking out of boredom. Once I nailed that, I moved on to adding more vegetables to my meals. Slowly but surely, these small changes started adding up.

Another goal I set was to walk for 20 minutes every day. Some days, I walk longer, and on others, I barely make it out the door, but I keep showing up for myself. That’s what counts. By focusing on these manageable goals, I’ve started to see progress—not just on the scale, but in how I feel.

So, if you’re on a similar journey, remember to break it down into bite-sized pieces. Celebrate every small win, and before you know it, you’ll be well on your way to your ultimate goal. You don’t have to be perfect; you just have to keep going.
